Jackons's chameleons breathe in and out of their mouth and nostrils with their lungs.

Oxygen is not required to heat their bodies.

They do not have gills, so they avoid being under water. 

Gas exhange occurs in the alveoli of their lungs.

Lungs are either unilobed or bilobed.

They rely on other sources of energy rather than glycogen oxidation.
