Chameleons have well developed nervous systems consisting of

the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and nerve sensors.

• brain has left and right hemispheres

• twelve pairs of cranial nerves (carry information to brain)

• spinal cord with ganglions

• spinal nerves that branch out to rest of the body
